On 15th November 2007, Maciej Rybus made his debut for Legia Warsaw in an Ekstraklasa Cup match in contradiction of Dyskobolia Grodzisk Wielkopolski. Following his impressive performance, Legia’s coach Jan Urban called him up to the senior team of the club.
On 24th November 2007, he made his professional debut for Ekstraklasa. He appeared in the 2007-08 seasons mainly as a substitute but succeed to reserve a place in the starting eleven towards the end of the season.
His first professional goal came in December 2007 against Gornik Zabrze. Further in April 2008, he recorded a brace in a league match against Wisla Krakow.
