After one year with Arsenal’s youth set-up, he was promoted up to the reserve team in the 2008-09 seasons.

Loan to Brentford
On 20th November 2009, Szczesny moved to League One club Brentford, signing a month’s loan deal. In his second match with Brentford, he saved a second-half penalty in a 1-0 loss to Wycombe Wanderers. On 12th December 2009, he was awarded Man of the Match award, in his fifth game where he made a number of saves to keep out Leeds United.

Return to Arsenal
