Arsenal

After one year with Arsenal's youth set-up, he was promoted to the reserve team in the 2008-09 seasons.

On May 24, 2009, he was included on the first team for the first time during the Premier League match against Stoke City as an unused substitute. The team concluded their season with a 4-1 win at the Emirates Stadium.

At the beginning of the 2009-10 seasons, he was promoted to the primary team and assigned jersey no 53. On September 22, 2009, Szczesny made his professional team debut in the Football League Cup third round in a 2-0 home victory against West Bromwich Albion, keeping a clean sheet.

In December 2009, manager Arsene Wenger stated that he and the rest of Arsenal's coaching staff had high hopes for Szczesny, saying, "We have identified Wojciech as a future great, great goalkeeper." Later one month, Arsene Wenger added, "I believe in him that he will one day be Arsenal's number one. He has all the qualities you want from a goalkeeper".

Loan to Brentford

On November 20, 2009, Szczesny moved to League One club Brentford, signing a month's loan deal. In his second match with Brentford, he saved a second-half penalty in a 1-0 loss to Wycombe Wanderers. On December 12, 2009, he was awarded the Man of the Match award in his fifth game, where he made several saves to keep out Leeds United.

On December 22, 2009, he signed an extension contract that would last until January 17, 2010, and then January 31. Finally, it was again extended until May 31. He played 28 matches overall.

Return to Arsenal

On October 27, 2010, he made his way back to Arsenal and appeared for Arsenal in the League Cup, keeping a clean sheet. On November 11, 2010, he signed a new extended contract with Arsenal. On December 13, 2010, he made his Premier League debut in the 1-0 loss to Manchester United, deputizing for Manuel Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski.

Similarly, on January 8, 2011, Szczesny started the FA Cup 3rd-round match against Leeds United.

Loan to Roma

On July 29, 2015, Szczesny was again loaned out but this time to FC Roma, signing a season-long loan deal. On August 22, he made his Serie A debut in a 1-1 draw against Hellas Verona.

Ahead of the 2016-17 seasons, his loan deal was extended again for a season-long sale. In his two seasons with Roma, he played 72 matches.

Juventus

On July 19, 2017, Szczesny signed Juventus a 4-year contract worth $14.93 million plus an additional $3.79 million.

Following his father's footsteps, Szczesny began his football career at Agrykola Warsaw as a young player. He soon impressed Warsaw's goalkeeping coach, Krzysztof Dowhan, and Szczesny was allowed to take part in a training camp with Legia's first team at age fifteen, joining them afterward.

After two seasons with Warsaw, he joined Arsenal in the year 2006.
