Leandro Daniel Paredes, commonly known as Leandro Paredes, is an Argentine international footballer who currently plays side Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain as a central midfielder. The young talent previously played for the football clubs like Empoli, Roma, Chievo and Zenit Saint Petersburg. He made his professional debuted through Boca Juniors in 2010.


Also, Paredes has represented his national side in Argentina national team both as a junior and senior level, playing at various tournaments.

At an early age of eight, Paredes started off his football career playing at Boca Juniors’ youth system and stayed till 2008.

On 6th November 2010, Paredes made his first team and professional debut in 2-0 away victory over Argentinos Juniors. He played a total of 28 matches and scored five goals throughout 4 season spell with the club.


On 29th January 2014, Paredes moved to Chievo. But he remained with the club just for five months.


On 19th July 2014, Paredes signed for Roma in a temporary deal along with an option to buy outright from Boca Juniors. On 27th December of the same year, he made his debut for Roma in the 2-0 victory over Hellas Verona, coming on as a second-half substitute.

On 8th February 2015, he scored his first goal for Roma in a 2-1 win against Cagliari.

In June 2015, Paredes signed Roma on a permanent basis for $7.02 million.

Zenit Saint Petersburg

Paredes was a part of Argentina U-15 and U-17 national team.

On 19th May 2017, he earned a first call-up from Argentina national team by Jorge Sampaoli for Argentina’s friendlies against Singapore and Brazil in June.

On 13th June, Paredes made his national team debut in a 6-0 away victory over Singapore as well as recorded his debut by scoring his very first international goal.
