A South Korean international footballer, Kim Min-woo currently plays for the K League 1 side Suwon Samsung Bluewings as a Midfielder or Full-back. He began his club career in 2010 with Sagan Tosu. A South Korean international since 2013, Min-woo has been capped 22 times with one international goal and is 2018 FIFA World Cup player for his side.

Kim Min-woo is a native of Jinju, South Gyeongsang, South Korea, born on 25th February 1990. His star sign is Pisces. By nationality, he is a South Korean and belongs to Asian ethnicity.

Min-woo started his football career playing for South Korea U17 national team. In 2008, he enrolled at Yonsei University in Seoul, where he initially joined Yonsei University football team. The following year, he was called for South Korea u-20 national and played at 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup where he scored three goals for his side.

Further, he went to made trials in PSV Eindhoven, but unsuccessful to pass the tests. The Trials were accompanied without notifying Yonsei University, and he was banished from the University football team.

In 2017, Min-woo moved to Suwon Samsung Bluewings. In 2018, he was sent to Sangju Sangmu for military service.

Kim Min-woo's International Career

From 2009-2012, Kim played 13 matches representing South Korea U-23 national team. In 2010, he received his first call-up to the South Korea senior team for the friendly game against Nigeria. On 10th October 2014, he scored his first international goal for South Korea in 2-0 friendly win against Paraguay, in Cheonan Stadium, South Korea.

In May 2018, Min-woo was named in South Korea's preliminary 28 man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup along with his teammates Park Joo-ho, Kim Young-gwon, and Hwang Hee-chan.
