Juwan Morgan was born on April 17,1997, in Waynesville, Missouri. He is among the four children born to Darren Morgan and his wife, Jacquelyn Morgan. His father was an Army Drill Sergeant, and his mother also served in the United States Army. Morgan has three siblings, Jaren Morgan, Asia Morgan, and De'ANte Fields. In the junior year, Morgan averaged 16.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game as a junior. After the season, Morgan declared for the 2018 NBA draft but did not hire an agent and ultimately opted to return to school. As a senior year, Juwan received the “Off-season Champions” Award for his work in the conditioning program and was named to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team. After finishing his senior year, He listed his name for the 2019 NBA draft but was undrafted.
Utah Jazz named him to the mini-camp roster for the 2019 NBA Summer League. Morgan signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Jazz. He signed a two-way contract with Utah Jazz in 2019 and then resigned with the Jazz in 2020.
