Jermaine Samuels is a rising American college basketball player. He has been playing in the Big East Conference for the Villanova Wildcats. Samuels plays as a Small forward for his college team. Jermaine was part of the Bronze medal-winning team in the Pan American Games of 2019. 

Jermaine Samuels was born Jermaine Samuels jr. on November 13, 1998, in Franklin, Massachusetts. He is the son of Taishish Samuels and her husband, Jermaine Samuels Sr. After graduating from The Rivers School, Samuels enrolled at Villanova University. Talking about his physical appearance, Jermaine stands six feet and seven inches tall and weighs 104 kg. 

Basketball Career and NBA Journey

Jermaine started playing basketball along with his father in their backyard.  He began dunking the basketball at age 13 after growing from 5'9 to 6'3. While in High School, Player player played in the Amateur Athletic Union for Expressions Elite. Samuels averaged 19 points per game for The Rivers School but had to rest due to a knee injury in his freshman year. During his final year, Jermaine averaged 17.5 points and 12.1 rebounds and was named  First-team All-USA Massachusetts by USA Today.

Jermaine got numerous offers from universities but chose to play for Villanova University. The player had a great start in his freshman year but missed several weeks of playing time due to a led hand injury. Samuels averaged 1.1 points and 1.2 rebounds per game as a freshman and was part of the 2019 NCAA Division I Championship team. He averaged 6.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Jermaine averaged 10.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in the junior year and was named the Second Team All-Big 5. 

Samuels in his senior year and averaged 12 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. He returned to play for the fifth season and did not list his name for the 2021 NBA draft. Jermaine is among the top player to list their name in the next NBA draft. While on the other hand, The player represented the United States in the 2019 Pan American games and averaged 9.4 points per game during the tournament, winning the bronze medal.
