Javonte Williams is a well-established American football player. He has played in the FBS and NCAA for the University of North Carolina's Men's football team, North Carolina Tat Heels. Dever Broncos drafted Williams in the second round, thirty-fifth pick. Willaims was selected in the Second-team All-American squad. 

Javonte Williams was born April 25, 2000, in Wallace, North Carolina. He is the son of Jermaine Williams and Shekemia Williams. Javonte led Wallace-Rose Hill to its fourth-straight state title as a senior. He finished his senior year with  2,271 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns. Williams also caught 13 passes for 363 yards and five scores and earned an invite to the 2017 Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. Javonte played several sports while in High School and won a track and field state title in the 4x100-meter relay in 2016. 

Williams was shortlisted to play for the University of North Carolina Men's basketball team. He appeared in all 11 games at running back and on special teams and finished the season tailing 224 yards rushing and five TDs on 43 carries for a 5.2 yards per rush average. For the sophomore year, Javonte played in all thirteen games of the season and played back. He ranked fifth among Power 5 running backs with an 89.8 grade on offense. Williams rushed for 933 yards and five TDs on 166 attempts and finished the season with 1,1109 all-purpose yards. 

Javonte appeared in all eleven games of his junior year. He was named offensive Most Valuable Player and was Semifinalist for Maxwell Award, Doak Walker Award. Williams led the nation with 75 avoided tackles, was second with 42 rushes of 10+ yards, and was third with 72 rushing first downs. Javontes et a new career-high with 236 rushing yards on 23 carries against No. 9 Miami.

Wallace Native, Javonte shifted his focus to the 2021 NFL draft and listed his name for the draft. In May 2021, Denver Broncos drafted him in the second round, 35th overall pick.
