Ja'Marr Anthony Chase is an American football player who is the potential top-10 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. He played college football for the LSU Tigers, earning CFP National Champions, Biletnikoff Award, Unanimous All-American, and First-team All-SEC all in 2019.

Harvey, Louisiana native, Ja'Marr Chase was born on 1st March 2000, under the star sign Pisces. He is the son of Jimmy Chase and Toleah Chase. The twenty- years old holds an American nationality and is of Afro-American ethnic background. Regarding his physique, he stands 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m) stands and weighs 200 lb (91 kg).

High School & College Career

Chase enrolled at Archbishop Rummer High School where he played football for the school's team recording 115 receptions for 2,152 yards and 30 touchdowns. He committed to play college football for Louisiana State University. As a true freshman, he played in all 13 games, making seven starts. He had 23 receptions for 313 yards and three touchdowns. The following season, he led the FBS in receiving yards with 1,780 yards on 84 catches (21.2 avg) and receiving touchdowns.

A month before the start of the Junior season, Chase announced that he was opting out to focus on his professional career. AS reported, his decision was not specifically related to the COVID-19 pandemic, but rather due to agents having convinced Chase to leave before his third collegiate season. He confirmed his departure from LSU via social media statement on August 31, 2020, and officially declared for the 2021 NFL Draft on September 15, 2020. However, NFL rules state an athlete cannot be drafted until three years following his high school graduation. 

2021 NFL Draft Prospect

LSU Tigers' Chase alongside Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence and Oregon offensive tackle Penei Sewell, are widely seen as potential top-three selections in the 2021 NFL Draft. 

Chase has the combination of size, physicality, and athleticism that should make him the first receiver off the board. Furthermore, no other receiver in college football had more touchdown receptions of 20 yards or more over the past two seasons than he did.
