Germany Lost their first Match; Will they continue the streak of Defending Champions getting Knocked out from the Group Stage?

People love to make predictions and there are also many prophecies they have made about the World Cup. In this last three World Cup tournaments since 2006, people noticed the title holder getting knocked out in the First Round. The recent loss of Defending Champion Germany has led people to think about it again.

Germany lost the opening match of the 2018 World Cup against Mexico. The Defending Champions were defeated by 1-0 with the only goal coming from Hirving Lozano in the first half. Their defeat has made people make several speculations.

If we take a look at the recent previous World Cup tournaments since 2006, we get one interesting thing in common. 

But it's not about all of the Champions being from Europe.

The other thing you get is the defending champions getting knocked out in the First round. Let's recall- Italy won the World Cup in 2006 but they were knocked out from the group stage of the 2010 World Cup.

Similarly, Spain defeated the Netherlands to take the World Cup title in 2010 but failed to pass the first round in the 2014 World Cup.

Unfortunately, the 2014 World Cup champions Germany, defeat to Mexico in the opening match, has directed the same thing. If we believe these prophecies, there is more likely that the title holder will get knocked out from the group stage.
