In 2020, Anudike-Uzomah commenced his journey at Kansas State University as a freshman. Throughout the season, he participated in six games and contributed with a total of 41 snaps for the Wildcats, tallying three tackles and securing one sack.

In his sophomore season, he earned a starting role and had a remarkable year. He achieved a school record by registering four sacks, which included two strip-sacks in a game against TCU. His exceptional performance earned him the title of National Defensive Player of the Week as recognized by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.

By the end of the season, he had accumulated an impressive stat line with 12.5 sacks, 16 tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles. These achievements led to him being named the co-defensive Lineman of the Year in the Big 12 Conference, and he also earned a spot on the all-conference team.

During his junior year, he kept up his great play and led the country with 15.5 sacks and 21 stops for loss. He also forced four mistakes and picked them up twice. That year, the Big 12 named him the Defensive Player of the Year. He helped the Wildcats win the title. He was also named to the first team of All-Americans by everyone.

Professional Career with Kansas City Chiefs

After his sophomore year, Anudike-Uzomah signed up for the NFL Draft in 2023. Many experts thought he would be picked in the first round. At the NFL Combine, he ran a 4.34-second 20-yard shuttle and a 6.94-second three-cone drill, which showed scouts how fast he was.

His home team, the Kansas City Chiefs, picked him with the 31st pick in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He was the first player from Kansas State to be picked in the first round since 2011.
