Dave Flemming was born May 31, 1976, in Alexandria, Virginia, the United States. His birth name is David Braxton Flemming. He is American by nationality and belongs to white ethnicity. The name of his parents and any information related to his siblings has not been disclosed anywhere.

Dave graduated from St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School in 1994.  He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Standford University in classics. Later on, Dave Flemming also received a master's degree in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University.

The American sportscaster started his career in 2000. Before moving to Pawtucket Red Sox, he ran play-by-play commentary for the Visalia Oaks as well as served as the Assistant General Manager for the team.

Furthermore, for the three seasons, Flemming teamed with PawSox radio broadcaster Andy Freed on the eight-station. In facts, his rise in the baseball broadcasting industry was fast, he went from Class-A ball to Triple-A in two years and finally the Giants.
