Carmelo Anthony who was a free agent has recently signed a contract worth $2.4 million for 1-year with Houston Rockets on Monday.
The deal was finalized on Monday following the medical after Anthony traveled to Houston. Daryl Morey, the General Manager of Rockets welcomed the new player with a tweet.

Anthony was released by Atlanta Hawks as a free agent on July 30. He had joined the team on July 19 from the Oklahoma City Thunder. He will now have to compete for the starting place in the team.
He will now join the stars player like James Harden, Chris Paul, and the Rockets. Chris Paul welcomed him on Monday with a tweet.

Anthony was the third overall pick of the 2003 NBA Draft by Denver Nuggets in a draft class that included the stars like LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and his new teammate Chris Paul.
The 10-time All-Star, Anthony has played 1,054 career games and averaged 24.1 points with 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.02 steals in his career. He has also won three Olympic gold medals with the US National team and is the leading point scorer and rebounder for the team in Olympics.
He has 25,417 career points and stands 19th in the all-time leading scorer list.
