Carlos Alberto Caceda Ollaguez, known merely as Carlos Caceda is a Peruvian professional football goalkeeper who plays for Deportivo Municipal on loan from Veracruz. He is well recognized as a secured goal-stopper with quick reflexes and a speedy pace to rush off his line.

Carlos Caceda's Club career

Alianza Atletico

At the age of seventeen, Caceda commenced his senior football career with Alianza Atletico. He made his debut in Round 14, where entered for the sent-off Jorge Rivera in the 22nd minute but failed to aid his side to avoid the 1–4 loss at home to Coronel Bolognesi. The match was Caceda’s only league appearance with the Alianza Atletico.

Universitario de Deportes

In January 2011, Caceda switched to Universitario de Deportes' first team. Nevertheless, in his debut season, he mainly appeared for the reserves. Further, he was also included for the Universitario under-20 squad that won the 2011 U-20 Copa Libertadores. He played in all the matches including the final against Boca Juniors.

On 5th November 2012, Caceda made his league debut for the Universitario’s main team playing from the start in the goalless draw at home with Inti Gas Deportes.

Veracruz

On 3rd January 2018, Caceda signed to Veracruz on a free transfer. On 6th February of the same year, he was loaned out to  Deportivo Municipal.

Carlos Caceda's International career

In November 2012, Caceda earned his first call-up to the Peru national team. However, he did not participate in the friendly match against Honduras.

In May 2018, his name was named in Peru’s provisional 24 man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup along with his teammates Jose Carvallo, Pedro Aquino, and Raul Ruidiaz.

Despite lots of ups and down in his personal life, Cadceda is now living a blissful life with his spouse, Francesca Carranza, daughter of the El Puma (Jose Luis Carranza), a retired Peruvian football midfielder.

Going deep down, Caceda started dating Francesca while he was already involved in a relationship with his girlfriend of two years, Raiza, with whom he has a baby girl. After Raiza found out Caceda and Francesca relationship; she started making trouble in Francesca’s house. With the time, the matter was dissolved and he has custody of his daughter.

In October 2014, Caceda and Francesca welcomed their first child in October 2014.
