Brock Motum is an Australian professional basketball player. Currently, he plays for the Anadolu Efes of the Turkish Basketball Super League and the Euro League. He represented Australian basketball team at the international level too.

 

Motum represented Australia in the 2009 FIBA Under-19 World Championship. On 28 July 2014, he was named to the Boomer’s squad for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain.

Brock William Motum was born on 16 October 1990 in Brisbane, Queensland. This versatile Center forward holds an Australian nationality. Born in the mid of October, his zodiac sign is Scorpio.

Motum was born to Greg Motum and Leonie Motum and has a sister named Anna Motum. Motum attended Brisbane State High School where he played basketball for his school team. Moreover, he also played basketball for the Australian Institute of Sport.

In 2009, Motum went to the United States and played basketball for the Washington State Cougars. In four years of his career, Motum played outstandingly with an average of 18.7 points per game. During his collegiate career, he was named for first team All-Pac-12 and the league's Most Improved Player and was also named to the second team All-Pac-12.

Professional League Career

Brock Motum was undrafted in the 2013 NBA draft but was able to make the team of Philadelphia 76ers for the 2013 NBA Summer League. He signed a two-year deal with Granarolo Bologna of the Lega Basket Serie A, on 27 July 2013. He also had an NBA out-clause for 2014. He had 8.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in average for the 2013 season playing for 25 games of Bologna.

Motum went to Utah Jazz for the 2014 season where he averaged 8.0 points and 4.6 rebounds over the five games that he played in the Summer Leagues. on 26 August 2014, he signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Utah Jazz. He was waived by the Jazz on 25 October 2014.

Brock Motum signed a condition two-year deal with Adelaide 36ers of the National Basketball League on 3 November 2014. During his time at the 36ers, he made strong performances during the game with team members Luke Schenscher and Daniel Johnson. For the 2014 season with Adelaide 36ers, he played in 24 games averaging 17.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. He exercised the NBA and European out clause in his contract with the 36ers to leave the club in June 2015.

For the 2015 NBA Summer League, Motum re-joined the Utah jazz. He played in eight of the Summer League games for the Jazz and had the average of 8.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.

Brok Motum signed a one-year deal with Zalgiris Kaunas of the Lithuanian Basketball League on 4 August 2015 with the option of a second. He re-signed with the team on 7 August 2016. During his time at the team, he won the LKL championships in 2016 and 2017, and the KMT Cup in 2017.
