Aziz Behich is a professional football player who plays primarily as a left back for Australian National Team and the Turkish professional football club, Bursaspor.

Apart from playing for several Australian football clubs, he also has played for Australia in their youth teams and made his senior debut in 2012. He played at the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and was the part of the Australian squad that won the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.

Aziz Behich’s Career

Behich made his career debut with the Australian soccer club, Green Gully in 2008. He was the part of the Green Gully team that went on to win  2008 Victorian Premier League.

The defender then moved to fellow Australian club, Melbourne Victory and made his debut against Perth Glory on 16 January 2010. He later signed with Hume City in 2010 and made his debut against Northcote City on 16 May 2010. He scored his first goal in the same match for the club.

Behich was signed by Melbourne Heart on October 2010 and played over 60 matches before leaving the club in 2013.

He then signed with Turkish football club, Bursaspor in early 2013 and made his debut against Fenerbahce on 11 March 2013. While playing for the Turkish club, he was transferred back to his former club, Melbourne Heart as a part of a loan deal for 2013/14 season.

Currently, he is playing for Bursaspor with whom he signed a new three extended contract on 4 March 2016.

Aziz Behich’s  International Career

After playing for the Australian U-23 team, he made his international debut with the senior Australian team in 2012.

He was the part of the successful Australian squad alongside striker, Tim Cahill and defender Jason Davidson led by Mile Jedinak that won the 2015 AFC Asian Cup held in Australia.

So far, he has appeared in  21 matches scoring two goals since making his debut in 2012.
