Anthony Davis turned 25th on Sunday (March 11) and the same day he returned from the injury to face Western Conference game against Utah Jazz. He had a fine birthday with a beautiful present as he recorded the first triple-double of his career with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 10 blocks. However, it wasn't really a pleasing one as his team New Orleans Pelicans faced a defeat.
Anthony Davis (10 blocks) has set a new career-high and franchise record, and has recorded his first career triple-double. It is the first triple-double with blocks in the #NBA since Hassan Whiteside (2/5/16). #DoItBig

Jazz lead over Pelicans by 126-99 at Smoothie King Center.
Davis is the only 12th player to reach the mark in the NBA this century and the only player to register triple-double including blocks since Hassan Whiteside who set the record in February 2016.
Davis was left out of the squad on Friday's loss to Washington Wizards due to the ankle injury. He didn't seem happy with his record.
"We lost, so I don't really care about no career-high or nothing like that," Davis said.
Pelicans are playing without their power forward and star player DeMarcus Cousins but Davis has not let the team miss their four times NBA All-star. Cousins is out for a season due to torn left Achilles.
Pelicans have already faced two defeats following their 10-game winning streak. They have now placed 4th only 1.5 games ahead of the 10th-seeded Jazz.
Though Davis failed to go home with a victory, he has yet created another history. A deserved one for the probable MVP. Happy Birthday Anthony Davis.
