New Orleans Pelicans' fans have both good and a bad news. As previously reported, power forward Anthony Davis suffered an injury against Sacramento and is diagnosed with a sprained left ankle which is simply listed as day-to-day.

However, if they want to set the franchise record of consecutive wins then they will have to do without The Western Conference's player of the month for February.
Davis previously left the game against Clippers with a possible rib injury.
The MVP candidate is expected to be unavailable in the match against Wizards on Friday. Davis was the driving force behind Pelicans 114-101 victory over Sacramento. He was forced to quit the match in the 3rd quarter. The team has equaled the 10 consecutive wins record and will be looking for their 11th but might have to do without the big man.

The doctor had to do MRI to know further details about his injury on Thursday after the X-Ray report showed negative.
Injury list has already hit pelicans as they previously lost their forward DeMarcus Cousins for a season and won't be taking any risk with Davis. Pelicans still have the hope of playoff as they are in a fourth of the West. However, they are not very far from the ninth-place Nuggets as they are ahead with only 3 1/2 games.
Pelicans can't afford to lose few games as that might send them out of playoffs.
