Andreas Bjelland is a Danish professional footballer who plays a center back for English football league club, Brentford FC and Danish National Football Team. He was also the member of the National Team in Euro 2012.
Andreas Bjelland was born on Fredensborg, Denmark on 11 July 1988 to a Norwegian father and a Danish mother. He has a younger sibling brother, Thomas Bjelland who is also a professional footballer. Thomas has represented BSv and Danish club, Hellerup.
Andreas Bjelland started his football career playing for Fredensborg BI, BSV and Lyngby Boldklub in their youth levels.

Andreas Bjelland made his professional club debut for Lyngby Boldklub in the senior team nin 2006. After few season at Lyngby, he signed with Danish club, FC Nordsjaelland on 31 August 2009. He quickly built himself as a major player in the team.
During his 72 appearances for the team, he led the side to DBU Polaken Cup for the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons. The club also won Superliga title for the first time in the history of the club during 2011/12. He scored three goals for the club.
After his success at FC Nordsjaelland, Bjelland signed with Dutch side FC Twente on a four-year agreement on 6 November 2011. He left the club after three seasons in 2015.
Currently, the star defender is with English football league club, Brentford FC. He signed with the English team on 2 July 2015 for a club record signing amount of €3 million.
He holds a dual citizenship of both Denmark and Norway. Despite these, he went to play for Denmark.
Initially, he played for Denmark in it's Under 16,18, and 21 levels. He represented Denmark's U 21 at European U21 Championship hosted in Denmark along with future Denmark national players like Nicolai Jorgensen, Christian Eriksen, Nicklas Hojlund, Mike Jensen, Mathias Jorgensen.
The Danish defender made his international debut against the Czech Republic on 17 November 2010. He scored his first international goal for Denmark against Australia as a penalty in a friendly match.
