He, later on, went to sign a five-year contract deal with the German Bundesliga football club, Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2016.

Dembele made his debut against Bayern Munich on 14 August 2016 and scored his first Bundesliga club goal against VfL Wolfsburg on 20 September 2016.

He was the part of the successful Dortmund team that went on to win the DFB Pokal at the 2016/17 season.

The French striker is currently playing for Spanish La Liga football club, Barcelona with whom he signed a five-year contract worth €105 million plus € 40 million in the autumn of 2017.

After playing for several French youth teams, he made his full senior international debut for France against Belarus in a friendly as a replacement for Antoine Griezmann on 1 September 2016.
