A professional since 2014, he competed at Altay Republik MMA League, White Night Fighting Championship, Zhekpe Zhek Bantamweight Grand Prix, Alash Pride, Kunlun Fight, and FNG.
Aktobe, Kazakhstan native, Zhalgas Zhumagulov was born on 29th August 1988, under the star sign Virgo. The thirty-two years old stands 5'4" 162.56 CM tall and weigh 125 LBS 56.7 KG.

In 2020, Zhalgas signed to UFC. On 11th July 2020, he made his UFC debut at UFC 251 - Usman vs. Masvidal where he lost to Raulian Paiva. He was expected to face Amir Albazi on 28th November 2020 but the bout was canceled and rescheduled on 23rd January 2021, face Amir Albazi.
