World Cup 2018: marks the Rise of the Underdogs, With Big Teams Being Stopped By Smaller, What to Expect this time? Soccer

While the group stage game continues, we as viewers are seeing some very good showcase of skills from all the teams in the finals but one thing that we can't argue is the performances from smaller teams. Every event so far has come up as a shock for all the big team supporters from past four days.

As World Cup 2018 marks the rise of the Underdogs, with Big Teams Being continuously stopped by Smaller ones, we expect some of the underdogs to run extra miles this time.

Let's break the event down and see the full result of first matches where big names were unable to unable to mark its victory on the opening match.

Russia, the team which started the final as the least scorer in the division is so fat the highest scorer in the game after it registered a 5-0 victory over Saudi Arabia which was the second least scoring team in the group. Though we saw Russian president shaking his friendly hands with the Saudi Arabian prince, the whole performance from Saudi was not as good as expected.

Uruguay played as expected but it was Iranian players who unexpectedly won despite having poor ball positioning with Morocco. In between the final hours, we even saw a small brawl between coaching members of Iranian cap and a Moroccan player arguing over whoo's throw it was just to end the game with 1-0 victory for Iran.

Spain and Portugal delivered a great game from group B, drawing the match against each other with Ronaldo delivering a hat-trick, and doing the GOAT (chin-ious) gesture. The whole game looked like Ronaldo Vs. Spain and Costa Vs. Portugal.

Further France and Denmark came victorious as expected but, in the same group, Argentina drawing Group D's underdog Iceland was an event to remember. Icelanders who appeared in the world cup for the first time drew with previous Wc finalist Argentina.

On the other hand, a team filled with stars like Victor Moses couldn't even equalize with Modric's team. Likewise, Costa Rica's defeat to Serbia also wasn't expected but Mexico's win over Germany in last night's match was the biggest shock to all football MC's and pundits.

On the other hand, 5 times WC winners, under captain Marcello, Brazil surprisingly drew the match despite having that many star players in the team against Switzerland in its first match of Group E.

So, what's the basic conclusion of this Article? First thing, after seeing these events turning into the favor of smaller teams, we hope that one or two of smaller teams will make their way to the round of 16 disappointing some bigger names, so fans, be ready to be disappointed. And the second thing is: "No team can be termed as UNDERDOGS", makes sense because they are the few finalists from seven billion plus people and over two hundred nations globally.
