Following his youth career, Ghafouri has played for the youth team of Pas Tehran until 2007. He was then promoted to a senior team of Pas Hamedan. For the team, he scored 5 goals in 81 appearances until 2010.

Ghafouri was transferred to Shahrdari Tabriz on July 1, 2010. He has played 50 games and scored 2 goals until 2012.
