Destiny Usman Garuba Alari a.k.a. Usman Garuba is a Spanish professional basketball power forward for Real Madrid of the Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. He is an academic product of Real Madrid, playing in every youth system as well as the reserve team. At the national level, he has represented Spain in the 2016 FIBA U16 European Championship and the 2019 FIBA U18 European Championship.

His parents: Mustapha and Betty are Nigerian who initially moved to Brussels to escape conflict in their hometown, Benin City. Later, they settled in Madrid without work permits. In the 2019–20 seasons, he became a full-time member of Real Madrid's senior team. With the team, he has won 2× ACB All-Young Players Team (2020, 2021), ACB Best Young Player (2021), and EuroLeague Rising Star (2021).
