Football Career

An academic product of Southampton (2001-2009), Mings enrolled  Millfield school in Somerset for two years on a football scholarship. After leaving school, he signed to Yate Town Football Club in 2011. However, he did not make an appearance for the club and considered quitting football in the summer of 2012. 

However, Mings signed to Southern League Premier Division club Chippenham Town in 2012, representing the town he grew up in. Along with football, he job as a barman and a mortgage advisor.

In December 2012, Mings joined Ipswich Town with an agreement to play a pre-season-friendly game for the club against Chippenham. On 4th May 2013, he made Ipswich debut against Burnley. On 4th January 2014, he appeared in FA Cup at right-back instead of his usual left-back role against Preston North End. On 20 September 2014, Mings signed a new three-year contract with Ipswich. 

Overall. he played 57 games and scored a goal for Ipswich Town and lead the club to reach the Championship play-offs.

On 26th June 2015, Mings signed to AFC Bournemouth. On 29th August 2015, he made his Premier League debut in a 1–1 draw with Leicester City. 

Mings was suspended by the FA for five matches on 8th March 2017 after an alleged stamp on Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a game against Manchester United on the previous weekend.
