Thales Leites Lourenco or famously known as Thales Leites is a Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter who is currently fighting for Ultimate Fighting Championship in their middleweight category.
Apart from competing for UFC, he has fought for Brazilian MMA promotion, Shooto Brazil, and Jungle Fight as well as Japanese MMA promotion, MARS and MFC.
Thales Leites is Brazilian by nationality. He was born to Brazilian parents on September 6, 1981, in Niteroi, Rio de Janerio, Brazil.
He started his MMA career by joining the Brazilian MMA promotion, Shooto Brazil in 2003 and emerged victorious via triangle choke hold and later moved to Japan and competed in the Japanese MMA promotion, MARS and had a memorable with Osaami Shibuya.
In the bout with the Shibuya, he won with a unanimous decision.

Leites later had a bout against Chris Camozzi at UFC Fight Night 92 and won via submission in the third round of the match.
He took on Krzysztof Jotko at UFC Fight Night 100 and lost via unanimous decision on November 19, 2016.
Leites later fought against Sam Alvey at UFC Fight Night 108 and won via unanimous decision.
Currently, he is scheduled to face Jack Hermansson at UFC 224 on May 12, 2018.
