Timothy A. Boetsch or famously known as Tim Boetsch is an American professional mixed martial artist who currently fights for famous MMA American promotion, Ultimate Fighting Championship.

He also has competed at the International Fight League for New York Pitbulls and King of Cage.

Boetsch has major and stunning memorable victories over  UFC greats like Johny Hendricks and Hector Lombard.

Tim Boetsch’s Early Career

Tim Boetsch was born on January 28, 1981, in Lincolnville, Maine, the USA to mother, Janice Boetsch, and father, Greg Boetsch. He has an older brother, Aaron Boetsch born in 1971 and cites him as his inspiration for wrestling abilities while growing up.

Boestsch also had a brief Jeet Kun Do training and later attended  Camden Hills Regional High School.

He is the four-time state wrestling champion with the institution and was inducted into school’s Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2012.

Boetsch then attended Lock  Haven Unversity in Pennsylvania with a wrestling scholarship and trained under UFC legend, Pat Miletich.

Tim Boetsch’s Career

His first amateur fight was in 2006 and joined  International  Fight League. He made his debut as a replacement for a bout against Vladimir Matyushenko.and suffered his first professional loss.

Boetsch later signed with UFC and made his debut as a replacement for David Heath at UFC event UFC 81 and won via TKO in the first round.

He later faced Matt Hamill at UFC Fight Night 13 and loss with TKO due to strikes from the ground.

Boetsch later was released from UFC after losing to Jason Brilz at UFC96. He later returned to UFC in 2010 and was expected to take on Thiago Silva on 7 August 2010 at  UFC 117 but instead faced  Todd Brown.

He won a bout against Todd Brown via unanimous decision and later took on Thales Lestis on 31 January 2015 and lost through technical submission hold in the second round.

Tim Boetsch is a graduate in  Criminal Justice which he obtained from the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.

Before pursuing his MMA career was a social worker primarily with the adolescent group. He is married to his spouse, Jade Boetsch and the couple are blessed with three children, 2 sons, and a daughter.
