Romain Saiss was born on 26th March 1990, in Bourg-de-Peage, France as Romain Ghanem Paul Saiss. He was born to a Moroccan father and the French mother. He started playing with an amateur club AS Valence.

Romain Saiss' Career

Saiss began his career as a defender/ midfielder with AS Valence. He played for one-year for the club where he played 13 games scoring 4 goals.

On 1st July 2011, he was transferred to Clermont B on a free transfer. Moreover, he was included in several games of Clermont Foot. Before leaving the club, he scored 1 goal in 48 appearances. He was signed by AC Le Havre on a free transfer on 1st July 2013. For the club, he scored 3 goals in 61 matches.

Saiss then moved to Ligue 1 side Anger on a two-year contract on 3rd July 2015. During his one-year career with Anger, he scored 2 goals in 35 appearances.


Romain Saiss is currently signed with Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers on a four-year contract in a deal worth €4 million. He debuted professionally for his club in a 2-0 victory over Newcastle on 17th September 2016.
