Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles Suffers an Injury Vs New England Patriots American Football

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles suffered a shoulder strain in a preseason game against New England Patriots in the 2nd quarter on Thursday.

Foles was hit by Patriots defensive end Adrian Clayborn in his right arm. He immediately fell on the ground with pain grabbing his arm near the elbow and shoulder area.

Third-stringer Nate Sudfield replaced him following the injury.

His return is still in doubt. However, Foles hope for a quick return as he would undergo medical tests on Friday. "I feel really good about it," he said.

"It was just the shoulder. It just sort of got jarred in a funny way as I was following through. But it feels good. We'll check it out tomorrow more thoroughly."

Eagles lost the match by 37-20.

Foles was started over Carson Wentz last season who later went on the help the team win the Super Bowl against Patriots beating them with the score of 41-33.

After the match, Foles was captured shaking hands with the NFL MVP Tom Brady which was waited for so long by their fans.
