UFC 246 Medical Suspensions: Donald Cerrone will be out for 6 months for Nasal, Orbital Fractures MMA

Donaldo Cerrone was inside the Octagon at UFC 246 on January 18 for only 40 seconds but those 40 seconds have cost him the 6 months. The Nevada State Athletic Commission recently released a medical suspension of the fighters who took part in UFC 246 and the team assessed a broken nose and “mild” orbital fracture suffered by Cerrone.

Cerrone, who was immediately rushed to the hospital after UFC 246, had serious damage to his orbital that came into knowledge after CT scan of the brain. Cowboy, for now, has been suspended until Feb. 18 with no contact until Feb. 9 but can be cleared earlier. He was also suspended after his previous fight for possible facial fractures.

The PPV event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas had 14 fighters suspended after medical. Flyweight fighter Maycee Barber was diagnosed with a partially torn ACL and could be out of the Octagon for 6 months.

Donald Cerrone: suspended until July 17 unless reported by a maxillofacial surgeon for nasal and mild orbital dislocation; suspended at minimum until Feb. 18 with no contact until Feb. 9.

Maurice Green: if found positive after MRI of right elbow and X-ray of the right foot, he will be suspended until July 17 unless cleared by an orthopedic doctor; suspended at minimum until Feb. 18 with no contact until Feb. 9.

Aleksei Oleinik: suspended until March 4 with no contact until Feb. 18.

Ode Osbourne: suspended until Feb. 9 with no contact until Feb. 2.

Maycee Barber:  if positive after MRI of the left knee, he will be suspended until July 17 unless cleared by orthopedic doctor; or left forehead laceration, suspended at minimum until March 4 with no contact until Feb. 18.
