P.J. Dozier went undrafted in the 2017 NBA draft but was signed by the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2017 NBA Summer League. Afterward, he signed a contract with the Dallas Mavericks on August 8, 2017, but was released by the team on October 14, 2017.
The Oklahoma City Thunder picked up Dozier with a two-way contract on October 16, 2017. He split his time between the Thunder and their NBA G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue.
