Owen Power is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman who is projected to be drafted first overall in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. A 2020 graduate of St. Joseph's Catholic, he just finished his freshman season at the University of Michigan of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
Mississauga, Ontario native, Owen Power was born on 22nd November 2002, under the star sign Scorpio. He is the son of Zee Power, a financial planner, and Trish Power who works in parks & recreation. He has a sister, Emily Power, a lacrosse player at Guelph, and a brother Adam.
Power started his ice hockey journey joining Mississauga in 2017-18. However, it is unclear if players get paid in the minor hockey organization. The following season, he joined Chicago Steel of USHL, which does not pay a stipend to its players, who thus retain amateur status and are eligible to play in the NCAA. And now he is enrolled at the University of Michigan playing for the collegiate team in NCAA.
It's crystal clear that Owen Power has not made a penny out of his ice hockey career. Considered the No.1 projection in the 2021 NHL draft, he now might be able to pull out millions of dollars from his ice hockey career if he goes pick in this draft. The minimum salary of NHL players in 2021 is $0.7 million.
As of 2021, Owen Power's net worth is under review.
