Omar Hawsawi currently plays for Al Nassr as a defender after signing the contract on 1st February 2012. He was sent on loan to Al Qadisiyah on 2nd February 2012 until 1st July 2012.

In April 2017, the club officials revealed that the player suffered a slight knee injury and needed rest and treatment for five days, after a match over AL-Hilal during the quarterfinals of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup.
