Omar Hawsawi currently plays for Al Nassr as a defender after signing the contract on 1^st February 2012. He was sent on loan to Al Qadisiyah on 2nd February 2012 until 1^st July 2012.

In April 2017, the club officials revealed that the player suffered a slight knee injury and needed rest and treatment for five days, after a match over AL-Hilal during the quarterfinals of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup.

So far, Hawsawi has played 14 games scoring 11 goals. He is the member of the team that won 2013-015 Saudi Professional League and 2013-014 Saudi Crown Prince.

National Career

Omar Hawsawi made his international debut with the Saudi Arabian national football team in 2013. On 14^th October 2014, he netted his first international goal in a match against Lebanon in an international friendly in King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah.

Later, Hawsawi scored his second international goal against Japan in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification in Saitama Stadium.

Hawsawi has been capped 4 times for his national team scoring 3 goals. He was drafted for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia along with Muhannad Assiri, Mohammad Al-Sahlawi, and Abdullah Otayf.
