Al-Qadisiya

Following his impressive performance in the Karkiz Championship, Al-Sahlawi, 17, was registered in the Al-Qadisiya officially, signing a contract with SR 40,000 per week and a car.

After two seasons, certainly in the 2006–07 season, Al-Sahlawi entered into the first team, so he had to assume the responsibility of the Al-Qadisiya attack alongside his teammate Yousef Al-Salem. After administration issues, he faced a difficult period where he was transferred to the bench, while at the same time he was leading the Saudi Olympic team.

After Al-Qadisiya was relegated to the first division after the departure of a maximum number of star players in the team, Al-Sahlawi was loaned out to Al-Fateh where he played five matches scoring a goal. Later, notwithstanding other offers, he returned to his parent club.

In his comeback season, Al-Qadisiya recorded 18 goals for his side. At the end of the season, he signed a three-years-extension contract with Al-Qadisiya worth SR3 million. More, Al-Sahlawi finished the 2008 season as the Top Goalscorer in Saudi First Division.

Al-Nassr

In 2009, Al-Sahlawi signed to Al-Nassr for a reported transfer fee of SR32 million and broke the record transfer of the Yasser Al-Qahtani as the most massive deal in Saudi football history.

In his debut season, he played overall 36 matches and scored 21 goals as well as earned the Young Player Award from STC. In 2015, Al-Sahlawi was named one of the World’s best top goal scorers by the IFFHS.
