Prosper began his athletic journey playing soccer and hockey, transitioning to basketball at 12 years old. During his time at Lake Forest Academy in Illinois, he posted an average of 15.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game as a senior.

What's more, he also competed for the NBA Academy Latin America in Mexico, taking part in the NBA Global Camp and the Basketball Without Borders Global Camp.

Granted immediate eligibility by the NCAA, he commenced his journey with the Golden Eagles during the 2021-22 season.

After his sophomore year at Marquette, Prosper entered the 2023 NBA draft. He held averages of 12.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game, with a shooting percentage of 47.8 from the field and 36.2% from beyond the arc. Projections placed him as a late first-round or early second-round prospect, with scouts highlighting his athleticism, defensive versatility, and potential as a stretch four.

Selected as the 24th overall pick by the Sacramento Kings, he was subsequently traded to the Dallas Mavericks on draft night. Signing his rookie contract with the Mavericks on August 4, 2023, he made his NBA debut on November 3, 2023, contributing two points in four minutes against the Los Angeles Lakers.

In his seven games with the Mavericks, he has averaged 1.9 points and 1.3 rebounds in 6.4 minutes per game, shooting 30.8% from the field and 12.5% from three-point range.
