Oihan Sancet Tirau is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for the Athletic Bilbao in La Liga as a central midfielder. At the international level, he has represented his national side in U-18 and U-19 teams.
Pamplona, Spain native, Oihan Sancet was born on 25th April 2000, under the star sign Taurus. The twenty-one years old holds Spanish nationality. He stands 1.88 m (6 ft 2 in).
Sancet began his footballing at Osasuna. In 2015, he joined Athletic Bilbao's youth setup. On 18 June 2018, he received a call for the pre-season with the first team.
On 25 August 2018, Sancet made his senior debut with the reserves where he also scored in an opener in a 2–0 Segunda Division B home defeat of CD Tudelano. However, he suffered a knee injury in early September returning to action only in the following March.
For the 2019–20 season, Sancet was promoted to the main squad. On 16 August 2019, he made his professional – and La Liga – debut coming on as a second-half substitute for Oscar de Marcos in a 1-0 home victory over FC Barcelona. On 27th June 2020, he scored his first goal in a 3–1 victory over RCD Mallorca.
In the fall of 2020, he had reached sufficient milestones to trigger a €150,000 development payment to Osasuna.
