Nico Erik Rosberg or famously known as Nico Rosberg is German-Finnish Formula One racer who drove for the Formula Racing team One Mercedes and Williams F1. Besides competing with Mercedes team, he also has raced for Germany and also raced for Finland in the beginning stage of his career.
Rosberg is a 2016 Formula One World Champion. He currently serves as an ambassador for Mercedes.
Nico Rosberg was born to father, Keke Rosberg, a former world champion and mother, Sina on 27 June 1985 in Wiesbaden, West Germany. He holds dual citizenship of Germany and also of Finland.
His father, Keke Rosberg previously won the 1982 Formula One Championship.
Rosberg spent most of his childhood in Monaco.
He began karting at a very young age and later was teamed with Lewis Hamilton in early 2000. He later transferred to German Formula in BMV in 2002 and won the championship.
After declining an aeronautical engineering course in the Imperial College London, he joined the Grand Prix team in the ART and later created history by winning the first GP2 title.
Currently residing in Monte Carlo, Monaco, he was paid around $15.5 million as an annual salary in his final year in 2016. In July 2016, he signed a 2-year contract with Mercedes that would earn him the basic salary of $18 million a year, £750,000 as race win bonus and $5 million more is he wins the F! title in addition.

He has a partnership with designer Thomas Sabo who specializes in making a designer watch and jewelry brand since 2010. He also has an endorsement deal with Rolex.

Rosberg becomes the youngest car driver to set a record of the fastest lap in Bahrain Grand Prix in 2006.

Rosberg achieved the biggest accolades was he finished just behind his longtime friend as a rival, Lewis Hamilton at the Formula One Championship and become the only the fourth driver in history to win the Grands Prix for six consecutive years.
