The Brazilian set the record for the most possession lost among Europe's top five leagues this weekend while his former Barcelona teammate and Argentine captain Lionel Messi made to the top of La Liga.

According to the Opta data, Messi let the possession go to the opponent on 27 occasions in the 1-0 victory against Real Valladolid on Saturday. The stat of the possession lost by Messi is more than any player in La Liga this weekend.
Well, this might be because of the low-level pitch of the newly promoted side.
Messi's record was later overtaken by his former teammate and PSG forward Neymar. He surrendered the possession 34 times against Angers. However, he managed to score a goal for the team which led Thomas Tuchel's team to 3-1 victory.
