Luke Matthews is a rising American college football player. He is currently playing in the Southeastern Conference representing the Texas A&M University football team. Luke plays as an Offensive Line. Matthews was named to Dave Campbell's Magazine Preseason Super Team.
Luke Matthews was born in the late 1990s. He has not shared a word about birthdate with the public. Matthews is among the seven children born to Bruce Rankin Matthews and his wife, Kyle Matthews. His father is an American former professional football player an offensive lineman in the National Football League. Luke graduated from Fort Bend Elkins High School and enrolled at Texas A&M University. Talking about physical appearance, Matthews stands six feet and four inches tall and weighs 145 kg.
Luke started playing football along with his siblings and parents in their backyard. His father is his biggest source of inspiration. He is the latest family member, following his brothers Kevin, Jake, and Mike Matthews to don the Maroon & White. Matthews played numerous sports in his early days and stuck with football in his High School days.
Dennis Brantley coached him while playing for the Fort Bend Elkins High School. At the end of High School, he was listed as a four-star prospect and named into numerous teams, Dave Campbell's Magazine Postseason Tops in Texas First Team and Dave Campbell's Magazine Preseason Super Team. Matthews received numerous offers from Florida State, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Texas, and a few more but chose to play for Texas A&M University.
Luke had to redshirt in his first preseason and played in eleven games in his freshman year. Due to injury, he had to miss the remaining seasons and the following seasons of sophomore year. Matthews could not even play in a single game in his sophomore year. In his junior year, Luke was part of the season-opening game against Kent State. Many expect him to list his name after graduating from the university and following his father's successful footsteps.
Luke is dating his longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Stech. They have been dating each other for more than three years. The player first posted the photo of the couples in November 2018 after a game with Texas A&M. Both of them are very much supportive of each other.

Luke is yet to start his professional career. NCAA does not allow the universities to pay their athletes rather offers them scholarships. He is enjoying a lavish lifestyle through his father's successful career. His father, Bruce, played in the NFL for seventeen seasons and was part of numerous pro bowls. He also worked as a coach for the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans. Matthews will be making millions in the future.
