Kiana Williams is the daughter of LaChelle and Michael Williams, who played linebacker at Texas Southern.

Further, she grew up alongside her three older brothers, Chancy Campbell, Michael Williams, and Javion Coleman.

Her brother, Chancy, was a running back at Abilene Christian. Also, he earned a 2002 Texas 6A state champion with Converse Judson High School; played in the 2004 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

College Career

Kiana Williams enrolled at Stanford University and played basketball for the college team. During her senior season, she was named an All-American by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association,  United States Basketball Writers Association, and Associated Press.

After putting up 26 points in the championship match in the 2021 Pac-12 Conference Women's Basketball Tournament, William was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

Further, Williams helped lead the Cardinal to their first national championship in the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament, since 1992. She was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player in the Alamo Region.

After finishing her collegiate career as the program's career 3-point leader, starting 128 consecutive games over her career, Williams declared for the WNBA draft at the end of the season.

In the 2021 WNBA Draft, Williams was drafted by the Seattle Storm in the second round with the 18th overall pick. She was released from the Seattle Storm roster on June 28, 2021. On October 25, 2021, she signed to play overseas with Adelaide Lightning.
