Ken Shamrock is a well-known semi-retired American mixed martial artist best known for his work on UFC in the Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight division.

 

Ken's fighting technique is a mixture of Shootfighting, Kickboxing, Wrestling, and Muay Thai. He also wrestled for the WWF or WWE, Wrestling Fujiwara Gumi, Universal Wrestling Federation, and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Shamrock started professionally participating in MMA on September 21, 1993, and so far Shamrock has appeared in 47 events with a record of 28 wins and 17 losses. Early Life of Ken Shamrock

Ken Shamrock was born on February 11, 1964, in Macon, Georgia, United States. He holds American nationality and belongs to white ethnicity. Shamrock was born to Richard Kilpatrick and Diane Kilpatrick. Shamrock has three brothers. His father abandoned the family when Shamrock was five years old. 

His mother remarried and the family got relocated. Raised in the tough streets of Reno, Nevada, United States, Shamrock was interested in martial arts from a very young age. He left home at the age of 13 and was later adopted by Bob  Shamrock from a foster home. 

Ken Shamrock started practicing various forms of martial arts, further, in his UFC player's profile, he stated:

"I started fighting because I knew my interest. It's all about having confidence in yourself, I don't fear that man standing across from me."

Shamrock's career started at the "Pancrase: Yes We Are Hybrid Wrestlers 1" where he fought against Masakatsu Funaki and won the match via submission (arm-triangle choke) on September 21, 1993. Correspondingly,  at "Pancrase: Yes We Are Hybrid Wrestlers 2" he fought against Yoshiki Takahashi, won the match via Submission (heel hook).

Additionally, on "Pancrase: Yes We Are Hybrid Wrestlers 3", Ken Shamrock fought against Takaku Fuke and won the match via submission (rear-naked choke). In another equally important match, at UFC 1, Shamrock fought against Patrick Smith, won the match via Submission (heel hook) on 12-Nov-93. Later in his next match, on 12-Nov-93, he fought against Royce Gracie at UFC 1 and lost the match via Submission (rear-naked choke) in round 1.

In one of the most remembered bouts, on 19-Jan-94, he fought against Minoru Suzuki at Pancrase: Pancrash! 1 and lost the match via Submission (kneebar) in round 1.

Consequently, at Pancrase: Pancrash! 3, Ken Shamrock fought against Ryushi Yanagisawa and won the match via submission (heel hook) in round 1. In addition to that, on 6-Jul-94, he fought against Matt Hume at Pancrase: Road to the Championship 2 and won the match via Submission (Kimura) in round 1. Henceforth,  at Pancrase: Road to the Championship 3 Shamrock fought against Bas Rutten and won the match via Submission (rear-naked choke) in round 1.

In fact, on 1-Sep-94, Ken Shamrock fought against Masakatsu Funaki at Pancrase: Road to the Championship 4 and lost the match via Submission (choke) in round 1. All things considered, at UFC 3, he fought against Christophe Leininger and won the match held on 9-Sep-94 via Submission (punches) in round 1. Correspondingly, at Pancrase: King of Pancrase Tournament Second Round he fought against Manabu Yamada, won the match via Decision (unanimous) in round 1.

Additionally, on 26-Jan-95, Shamrock fought against Leon Dijk at Pancrase: Eyes of Beast 1 and won the match via Submission (heel hook) in round 1. In another equally important match, at Pancrase: Eyes of Beast 2, he fought against Bas Rutten, won the match held on 10-Mar-95 via Submission (kneebar) in round 1. Later in his next match, on 7-Apr-95, Shamrock fought against Royce Gracie at UFC 5 and drew the match via Draw in round 1.

Ken Shamrock is currently married to his long-time girlfriend turned wife, Tonya Shamrock. The married couple is living together in their Reno, Nevada, the United States based home. They don't have children together but Tonya has three children, Rebecca, Sarah, and Christan, whom Shamrock has adopted as his own.

Talking about his past affairs, he was married to his past spouse, Tina. The couple was also blessed with three sons, Ryan, Connor, and Sean and a daughter Fallon Marie.

Recently, he has also become a grandfather of his ten grandchildren, a boy Ethan from his son Ryan, and two girls, Marilyn, and Jayden from his step-daughter Rebecca among others.

While Ken Shamrock was working for WWE, he had a kayfabe sister called Ryan Shamrock, whose real name was Alicia Webb. The two actually dated in real life for some time and they had an age difference of 16 years.
