Justin Turner awaits Rehab Assignment to begin following broken left Wrist Baseball

The Los Angeles Dodgers' star Justin Turner suffered a broken left wrist on Monday night, 19 March 2018. The third baseman suffered the fracture when he was hit by a pitch from Okland Athletics' pitcher Kendall Graveman during the team's exhibition in Arizona.

Turner had to leave the game after going through examination. Los Angeles Times reported Turner will be out until at least May.

"It's part of the game. It's unfortunate. I'll do everything I can to get back as fast as I can."

Turner told reporters.

Now Los Angeles Time reports, Turner won't begin a rehab assignment over the coming weekend.

Turner's condition has steadily improved, as the Dodger's star has reached the point hitting off a tee.

The Dodgers will be cautious regarding Turner's condition, having him on a rehab assignment until they are certain that he's ready. Sooner-or-later he recovers, he will have to play a few of minor-league games before joining the big club.

This is the first time, Turner has sustained a serious injury, pulling him out of the game for months.

Turner signed for the Dodgers on December 23, 2016, on a four-year contract worth $64 million. Next year on July 6, he won the All-Star Final Vote with 20.8 million votes, landing a spot in the 2017 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
