Joshua Ray Burkman famously known as Josh Burkman is an American professional mixed martial artist who is currently competing in the American renowned MMA promotion, Ultimate Fighting Championship in the welterweight category.
Before UFC, he has competed in various American MMA promotion like World Series of Fighting, XFC as well as The Ultimate Fighter 2.

He went to Cottonwood High School in Utah, USA. Before he decided to pursue his MMA career, he played American football, baseball, and wrestling.

Josh Burkman was initially selected to be on the premiere first season of The Ultimate Fighter and due to him failing the drug test did not appear on the show. After appearing in the Ultimate Fighter 2 as a contestant in the Team Hughes., he made his UFC debut against Sammy Morgan which he went on to win via knockout in 21 seconds in the first round.
He later took on Brandon Melendez and defeated him by KO in the first round of Throwdown Showdown 5.
Burkman then signed with MMA promotion World Series of Fighting and made his debut by going against Gerald Harris on November 2012 at WSOF 1. He won the bout via unanimous decision and later on faced Aaron Simpson in WS0F3 on March 23, 20,13 and won via KO in the first round.
The MMA fighter later faced Tyler Stinson at WSOF 9 on March 29,20,14 and was victorious through a knockout in the first round.
He later returned to UFC and signed in October 2014 and fought against Hector Lombard on January 3, 2015, at the UFC event UFC 182.
Burkman lost the bout via unanimous decision and later took on Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 187 and won through a submission hold in the third round on May 23, 2015. He later took on Patrick Cote at UFC Fight Night 74 and lost in a close contest via TKO and both of the fighters were awarded Fight of the Night honors for their performance.
Burkman later moved to lightweight category and took on KJ Noons at UFC Fight Night 182 on February 6, 2016, and won the bout via unanimous decision.
He later faced Drew Dober at UFC 214 on July 29,20,17 and lost via KO in the first round.
Burkman took on Alex Morono at UFC Fight Night 126 in the welterweight division on February 18, 2018, and lost the bout through a choke hold in the first round.
Talking about his affairs, he dated UFC ring girl, and American model Arianny Celeste and later got engaged to Brandy Lynn Winfield, a 2010 yoga champion. The couple got married the international level in early December 2011.
The couple is blessed with two sons, Legend Burkman ( born on 2012) and Atlas Burkman ( born on January 13, 2015).
