Jorge Mendoza was born on 15th of May 1989, in the capital city of Argentina, Buenos Aires and his birth name is Jorge Darío Mendoza. Despite being born in Argentina he holds the Paraguayan nationality.

Mendoza started his footballing career since 2008 joining the Gurani youth club. He made his professional debut in club career in 2009 representing the same club. He played for the club for eight successive years appearing in 152 games and scoring nine goals.

He further moved to a Paraguayan club Olympia in 2016 and stayed in the club for a year. He won 38 caps for the club and scored 8 goals in 2016. Mendoza was transferred to a Brazilian club named Ponte Preta on Jul 1, 2017, and still, plays for the club.
