His playing skills attracted Bundesliga clubs Hamburg, F.C Bayern Munchen, PSV Eindhoven, Eredivisie and AEK Athens F.C.

For the club, Fjoluson scored 10 goals in 48 appearances until 2011. He then signed a three-year contract with Beerschot with an option of one-year extra AEK Athens FC. He scored a single goal in 7 appearances.
