The Congolese basketballer initially played for the Fuenlabrada-Getafe Madrid in EBA after being discovered by coach Mario Palma at the age of 16. Then soon after, he got to play for CB Illescas in the LEB where he played from 2009 to 2011.
Making the average of 5 points and 7 rebounds in his debut with Fuenlabrada in the Spanish ACB League on January 9, 2011, Bismack made 2011 NBA draft where he was picked up by Charlotte Hornets(then Charlotte Bobcats).
Then on December 10, 2011, he signed a 2-year-deal worth $5.72 million with Hornets, followed by his option bonus of $3.05 million for the 2013-2014 season and $3.87 million for the 2014-2015 season.

On July 7, 2016, Orlando Magic offered Bismack a 4-year deal worth $72 million making him a Magic's player. With Orlando, Bismack made his season-high 15 points on January 16, 2017, and later on March 5, he grabbed season-high 15 rebounds against the Washington Wizards.
Currently, Bismack is reported to be enjoying the salary of $17 million with his due contract with Orlando magic where Evan Fournier and Elfrid Payton also play.
