After playing for the junior level of Universitario de Deportes, he joined the main team in 2008 and made his debut against Jose Galvez FBC on 20 February 2008 at the aged 17.

The Peruvian striker made his debut against Alianza Lima on 15 February 2009 and after making 38 appearances and scoring 13 goals for Huancayo, he signed a permanent contract deal with the club, in 2010.
After his spell at Huancayo, he joined Sporting Cristal in 2012 and played over 220 matches as well as contributed 92 goals for the club. He was the part of Cristal team that went to win Torneo Descentralizado in 2012 and 2014.
