The contract will earn him $1,500,000 in 2019 season, $1,750,000 in 2020 season which will increase to $4,250,000 in 2021 season. For the 2022 season, he will receive $6,250,000 with $8,250,000 adjusted salary in the final year.

Scott Kingery's Career Journey

The Philadelphia Phillies selected Kingery in the second round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft. He later signed with the team and was assigned to Lakewood BlueClaws of Class A South Atlantic League. Kingery spent the entire 2016 season with the Clearwater Threshers of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League and Reading Fightin Phils of Class AA Eastern League. After the regular season, Kingery played for Scottsdale Scorpions of the Arizona Fall League.

In 2017, he was selected to appear in that year's All-Star Futures Game. After the season, Baseball America named him as the second baseman of their second team of the Minor League All-Star team and won the Paul Owens Award as the best player in the Phillies minor league system. On 28 March 2018, the Phillies signed Scott through a six-year contract. Now, he plays in the Major Leagues.

In his Junior year at the University of Arizona, he was named the Pac-12 Conference Player of the Year. He received several honors in 2017 which include MiLB Gold Glove, Baseball America Double-A All-Star, MiLB Player of the Month.
