Hisaki Kato is a Japanese French professional mixed martial arts fighter as well as kickboxer who is currently fighting under American renowned MMA promotion, Bellator MMA in its Middleweight division.

A professional MMA fighter since 2013, besides competing for Bellator, he has competed for  Japenese MMA promotion, Rizin FF. As of 2018, he has a record of appearing in 11 matches,  winning 8 and losing 3.

Hisaki Kato is of French nationality having a French Japanese ethnicity. He was born on September 17, 1982, in Paris, France. He was born to a Japanese father and French mother and after graduating from high school and moved to Japan.

He made his professional MMA debut in 2013 and later aligned with the Kudo Federation of Japan

Kato later went to several competitions and his impressive streak enable him to be offered a contract by Japanese MMA promotion  HEAT.

With the promotion HEAT, he won the Middleweight Championship by defeating Yuki Niimura.

After competing for Japanese promotion, HEAT, he signed with  MMA promotion Bellator and made his debut on Bellator 139 on June 26, 2015, against Joe Schilling and won the match via knockout.

He later took a seasoned veteran fighter, Melvin Manhoef at Bellator 146 on November 20, 2015, and lost the bout via TKO.

After returning to America, he faced off against AJ Matthews at  Bellator 162 on October 21, 2016, and won through a TKO.

He later took on Chidi Njokauni on December 1, 2017, and won via unanimous decision at Bellator 189.

The French Japanese born Hisaki Kato stands at a height of 6 feet 1 inches and weighs around 84 kg. He has the reach of 74 inches which he uses to effect during his matches.
