Heiner Mora is a professional football player who plays as a wingback for Costa Rica national football team and Costa Rican renowned football club, Deportivo Saprissa wearing no 6 on his jersey shirt for the team. He has played for several Costa Rica clubs such as Santos De Guapiles, Brujas FC, Belen etc as well as Norwegian football club, Honefoss BK.
The defender also represented Costa Rica in CONCACAF Gold Cup and Copa America in 2011 and has appeared for the national senior team since 2010.
Heiner Mora of Costa Rican nationality was born at Guacimo, Costa Rica on 20 June 1984 to Costa Rican couples, mother, Luz Marina Mora and father, Dagoberto Mora who was a papaya farmer.
He was fond of playing football since his early childhood times and joined the youth academy of Santos de Guapiles in 1999 to pursue his football career.

He, later on, rejoined his former club, Santos De Guapiles whom he transferred in July 2011 and was transferred as a loan to Deportivo Saprissa in 2011.
His impressive performances for the Costa Rica Clubs caught the eye of foreign clubs and he was transferred to Norwegian club, Honefoss BK on Jan 2012 from De Guapiles. But due to the Heiner Mora not able to adjust to the team, country climate, family separation, communication problems and rigid rules involving immigration lead him to quit the club in 2013.
After his ordeal at Honefoss, he moved back to his home country and played for a year for Liga FPD club, AD Belen in August 2013.
Currently, he is with Deportivo Saprissa whom the defender signed with during the summer of 2014.
Mora has represented Costa Rica since 2010 and scored his first international goal for the senior team against Cuba on 5 June 2011 during 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
He along with Keylor Navas, Kendall Watson, and Joel Campbell are some of the probable players who might play for 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Heiner Mora married his longtime girlfriend, Carolina Arce Trejosn on 26 December 2015 whom the player dated for almost a decade.
