Gianluca Rocchi is an Italian referee. As of now, he has referred in three international matches in UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying. Till the date, he gave his appearance in many tournaments like WC Qualifier Europe, Confederations Cup, Olympic Games and much more.
Gianluca Rocchi was born on August 25, 1973, in Florence, Italy. He was born to Italian parents. He belongs to white ethnicity and holds an Italian nationality.
Gianluca Rocchi began his refereeing career in 2000. Later, he was called up to for Serie C seasons in a match between Avellino and Virtus Lanciano on October 16, 2002. Later, he was promoted and made his debut in U.S. Leece-Reggina Calcio on May 16, 2004.
Rocchi assigned to Serie A’s Committee in 2010. He then gave his appearance in Serie A and Serie B. During the 2009-2010 season, he gave his appearance in Italian SERIE A. Following, he has appeared in Champions League, Euro Champions, and Europa League, etc.
Rocchi also appeared in a final match between Real Madrid and Manchester United on August 8, 2017, in the UEFA Super Cup.
Till this date, Rocchi has represented popular clubs, including, AC Milan, AFC Ajax, Arsenal FC, AS Livorno, AS Roma, Atlanta, Bayern Munchen, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and many others.
Moreover, in 2015, Rocchi gave yellow-card to David Silva of Manchester City for a foul on Lionel Messi in the UEFA Champions League.
Rocchi's first match in the international field was on May 26, 2008, in a friendly match between Greece and Netherlands U-19 football team. He then referred to UEFA Euro 2012 qualification, Confederation Cup. He was also called up for Men’s football tournament at 2012 Summer Olympics London.
Recently, in 2017, Rochhi gave his appearance in a match between Spain and Russia on November 14, 2017. In this year, he represented in International Friendlies, and World Cup qualification Playoffs, etc.
